Huzzah.
I’ve finally started sculpting for my own enjoyment again after a string of not particularly challenging commissions.
This surfer is a remake of a sculpture I made back in 2001, just way more advanced in terms of construction techniques.
I used him to test out a new mix of aluminium foil and wire armature and it seems to have worked pretty well. Getting him to stand up was the hardest part thanks to his brick of a head making him top heavy.
I think I might try a pirate next...
